Today, the popular Pond Festival took place in Neuplanitz. Once a year, the Geleit pond in this district becomes a magnet for the neighborhood and many guests. In addition to a musical stage program, this year there was also an opportunity to get to know various associations and institutions. We were there with “Engagiert im Quartier” in the afternoon and got into conversation with many residents and interested parties.

The various coloring pictures were particularly popular and were enthusiastically received by everyone from elementary school children to senior citizens. Both tables were well occupied throughout, with children and adults getting creative.

At the same time, we took the opportunity to talk to visitors about their neighborhood. What is going well, what is not going so well, and what do people want for their neighborhood? Among other things, it became clear that families with children in particular have major concerns about safety. Our short survey was eagerly filled out and provided us with valuable insights.

In addition, we had the opportunity to present the Engagiert im Quartier project and its goals to a wider audience. It was an all-around successful afternoon that showed us how important direct exchange and cooperation in the neighborhood are. We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and talked to us!
