Yesterday was workshop time again for volunteers in Zwickau. The second round of the “Workshops for Volunteers” event series got down to brass tacks. For four intensive hours, representatives from Zwickau-based associations delved deep into the subject matter of financial planning and expenditure reports—two essential topics for the work of any association.

The speakers from the Dresden Cultural Office clearly focused on practical application. In small groups, participants were able to discuss the complex requirements using examples and work on them directly. This direct exchange and joint brainstorming was well received by the participants and created a better understanding of the topic.

The result was consistently positive, as was the overall feedback on the structure and content. Above all, however, the atmosphere was once again very relaxed and friendly. It became clear how important this space is for networking and learning together.

This workshop is part of the “Workshops for Volunteers” series and is an important measure within the framework of the

“Engagiert im Quartier” (Committed to the Neighborhood) project. We are already looking forward to the next workshop on October 22, 2025, at the GGZ Arena, where the theme will be “Financing heartfelt projects for associations with crowdfunding.”
