The monthly coffee get-together in Pölbitz was once again very well attended. Due to the warm weather, the participants decided on the spot to move the gathering to the outdoor area of the allotment garden complex. Under the large marquee—which is set to be used for the big garden party in a week’s time—those present enjoyed freshly baked cake and coffee. By now, the guests know each other well and value the recurring neighborhood gathering as a regular institution for community interaction.

The subsequent neighborhood meeting welcomed two new residents from the district, who joined the group. After the welcome, the participants looked back together on the spring cleaning carried out at the end of April and expressed great satisfaction with the results. One positive observation was that Neue Welt Park and the immediate surrounding area were cleaner than had been anticipated. A total of twenty-four volunteers took part in this initiative to create a more attractive living environment, and there is definitely a desire to repeat it next year.

The upcoming neighborhood cinema was presented as a new cultural offering in the district. The event, titled “Pölbitzer Kino um die Ecke,” will take place on June 12. The venue is Leo’s SattHappen, where the comedy *Willkommen bei den Sch’tis* will be shown in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The latest organizational details were shared during the neighborhood meeting.

Another key topic was the detailed planning for the next coffee gathering on June 25 at Neue Welt Park. The organizational tasks were divided up among everyone, with the new volunteers also contributing enthusiastically. All those present are looking forward to the upcoming events in the Pölbitz neighborhood, which will help ensure open participation and cultural life in the district for years to come.
