At the most recent gathering of community programs in the Pölbitz neighborhood, people from the neighborhood, Zwickau, and the surrounding district came together in the park of the Neue Welt Concert and Ball Hall. In sunny late-summer weather, the historic pergolas nestled among rose bushes and Greek statues provided the perfect setting for conversations over coffee and homemade cake.

In addition to residents from the neighborhood, cyclists from the surrounding district and tourists also took the opportunity to take a break. Thanks to the good weather, the subsequent neighborhood get-together was also spontaneously held in the park. During the event, participants reflected on the recent neighborhood barbecue and discussed upcoming projects for the neighborhood.

During the colder months, activities will shift back indoors. The coffee get-together will take place on October 8 and November 12 at the Achat Hotel. In addition, the next two screenings of “Kino um’ s Eck” at Leo’ SattHappen are scheduled for October 23 and November 13.

The main focus of the planning was the Pölbitz Neighborhood Christmas Market on December 5, 2026. Volunteers and neighborhood stakeholders are currently planning the organization and various activities for this event. As in previous years, this small, cozy Christmas market invites people from the neighborhood and Zwickau to celebrate the pre-Christmas season. Residents of the neighborhood are also invited to contribute their own ideas and help shape the program.
