On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the residents of the Pölbitz district cordially invite you to the first traditional district Christmas market. From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the forecourt of the NEUE Welt concert and ballroom in Zwickau will be transformed into a festive meeting place for the whole family.

The cozy market is being organized jointly by stakeholders from the district, including the NEUE Welt concert and ballroom, the Achat Hotel, the Christian Association of Young People (CVJM) Zwickau, and dedicated volunteers from the neighborhood. Visitors can expect a small market with a wonderful selection of food and drinks: there will be hearty roast chicken, warming mulled wine, non-alcoholic fruit punch, fresh coffee, and delicious homemade cakes. Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to the smell of freshly roasted almonds.

Festive music and the crackling, warming light of the fire pits will create the perfect Christmas atmosphere. As a special highlight, Santa Claus will of course be stopping by, and children (and adults!) will have the opportunity to take a lovely souvenir photo with him. In addition, the TSC Silberschwan children’s dance group will provide entertainment with a performance. In addition to the residents of Pölbitz, all residents of Zwickau are invited to this festive afternoon in the neighborhood!
