Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance
The Democracy Alliance of the Zwickau Region unites over 50 members and cooperation partners from the Zwickau district and emerged from the “Alliance against the Right”, which was founded in 1995 as a voluntary and independent association.
Since then, the alliance has been supported by the joint commitment of a broad spectrum of social actors. These are democratic parties, organisations, associations, social institutions and interest groups.
The alliance meets four times a year, the elected advisory board somewhat more frequently. Since 2009, both have been coordinated on a full-time basis by the Democracy Work Unit in the Old Gasometer.
The coordination office is co-financed by the state programme “Weltoffenes Sachsen” (Open Saxony). This measure is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget passed by the Saxon state parliament.

Thursday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
